Electromechanical Assembly (Industrial equipment: motors and generators)
Basic Job Description
- Assembles mechanical and electromechanical parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies, by following written or verbal instruction
- Uses various small hand tools, jigs, fixtures as required to complete the job. Some operations may require using larger, partially automated assembly or processing equipment and material handling equipment.
- Uses mechanical and electrical measurement devices and test equipment, such as rulers, calipers, meters and gages, and torque wrenches.
- Maintains or helps maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Complies with company policy in areas of health, safety, and relations with fellow employees
Skill Requirements
- Experience and ability to successfully use small hand tools, powered and unpowered.
- Can read and understand simple instruction, spoken or written in English
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds on an intermittent basis, and has the strength to move equipment and tooling as required
- Experience in the assembly of powered machinery is highly desired
Education Requirements
- H.S. diploma or G.E.D required
- Technical school education in mechanical or electrical trades is desired.
