Electromechanical Assembly (Industrial equipment: motors and generators)

Basic Job Description

1. Assembles mechanical and electromechanical  parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies, by following written or verbal instruction
2. Uses various small hand tools, jigs, fixtures as required to complete the job.  Some operations may require using larger, partially automated assembly or processing equipment and material handling equipment.
3. Uses mechanical and electrical measurement devices and test equipment, such as rulers, calipers, meters and gages, and torque wrenches.
4. Maintains or helps maintain a neat and orderly work area
5. Complies with company policy in areas of health, safety, and relations with fellow employees

Skill Requirements

1. Experience and ability to successfully use small hand tools, powered and unpowered.
2. Can read and understand simple instruction, spoken or written in English
3. Able to lift up to 30 pounds on an intermittent basis, and has the strength to move equipment and tooling as required
4. Experience in the assembly of powered machinery is highly desired

Education Requirements

1. H.S. diploma or G.E.D required
2. Technical school education in mechanical or electrical trades is desired.
